place to learn, both for children and the wider school community.
All Ashgrove
stakeholders share a common mission - To provide a quality
education in a positive environment which encourages learning for life
With a mix of both
new and experienced Trustees, our Board has a full workload as we work through
the many issues facing schools today. The Boards primary focus is on
Governance, including strategic planning for the next 3 to 5 years.
Necessary building blocks to ensure we fully support our Principal and staff in
their day to day management of all the schools activities.
Any commentary on
Ashgrove would not be complete without a salute to our PTA, who work tirelessly
to raise funds towards special projects enhancing the school environment. With
a growing list of many and varied calls on our finances, Ashgrove simply could
not function as well without the PTAs hard work and generous assistance.
Please support them in their efforts wherever you can.
Lastly, a reminder,
our Trustee elections are coming up again in 2010, so please give thought to how
you can assist Ashgrove maintain and grow for the benefit of all our children. I
would be pleased to personally discuss this aspect with any potential future
Trustees. Our monthly meetings are also open for your attendance if you
would like to observe the Board in action. Please refer to our Principal,
office staff or myself should be you interested in attending.
