Student Council 2012

Hi, we are a group of 16 senior students selected to be your school councillors for 2012.  We are looking forward to contributing to the life and energy of Ashgrove School and are excited about the opportunities for leadership and responsibility this position holds.

Our main responsibility is to represent the Ashgrove students and ensure that Ashgrove School remains the best place to learn. We are each assigned a learning team level that we will have regular contact with and will act as their voice on the council.

We will be working hard as a team to enhance our school. Some ideas are; upgrading the Senior playground, a fitness circuit, organic gardening and designing a float for the Rangiora Christmas parade. We will also be organising whole school events such as mufti days and planning some fund raising events, which we will endeavour to make fun and worthwhile.

Later in the year we will be going on a Leadership camp to further develop our leadership skills and give us the confidence and knowledge to lead in a positive and responsible way.Our role in the school is an important one and we are committed to doing our very best to promote Ashgrove School as a great place to learn and play.
